nce a cloud still hovered over the volcano. We decided the take in some of the other sites around the Island in the mean time. Right after we came out of the restaurant were we ate delicious grilled fish for lunch, we noticed that the clouds had lifted and the sun was shinning. We ran to the car and went up the hill as fast as we could. Once up there, we had a window of about 5 minutes without cloud were we could see the crater perfectly. I took as many pictures as I possibly could but when I went to download them, I notice that I hadn't put the memory card back in the camera after the last download. So no pictures! Nada! zip! Ahhhhhhh! Twitt!!! The one you see in this article is the one taken by Daniel. Good thing he was there!
Since every good thing must come to an end, we left Faïal on Saterday morning. After 19 days in the same place, we were starting to gather moss. The people we met in Horta were great and we hope to cross paths with them again. I have added another picture montage to the site. If you are wondering about the choice for the second song, this song played every night for a week... Daniel has gone to Santa Maria and Michel & Martine are staying in Horta for the moment. We arrived on our third Island, Terciera, on Saterday evening around 8pm UTC (4 pm MTL). It's not named Terciere because of us however. It was the third discovered Island and the city of Angra do Heroismo is the first city of the Atlantic. A lot of history to discover here... to follow.
Pictures of the painting Gaston did on the wall of Horta and a friend we crossed on the way to Teircera.
