Weekend

Wow! What a weekend! On Thursday night, the Santa Maria anchored and Christopher Columbus himself stepped on the island. On the following day, he was busy falling in love. We were invited to attend his engagement with Felippa that same evening. They were dancers and musicians. On Saturday, while they were getting ready to wed, we went on a chariot ride which took us to the more interesting view points of the Porto Santo. When time came for the ceremony, we were attacked by pirates. After a bloody battle, they were captured and tortured. Cristo and Felippa managed to get married as planned. The ceremony was short and simple, the food spectacular, the dancer captivating and the musicians were on fire.On Sunday, we rented a four wheel motorcycle and visited the parts of the Islandthat would not have beenaccessible with anything else. Today we are getting theboat ready and tomorrow or inthe nex couple of days we sail off to Madera. It's only 4 or 5 hours away.
