Martinique 02/02/2012 à/to 22/02/2012

Le 3 février, à Fort-De-France, nous visitons le Victoria Golden Hond. C’est une réplique du Victoria de Magellan construit pas son propriétaire en République Tchèque. Il a fait le tour du monde.

February 3rd at Fort-De-France, we visited the Victoria Golden Hond. This boat is a replica of Magellan’s Victoria and was built in the Czech Republic by it’s owner. He sailed it around the world.

La ville de Saint-Pierre (ou petit Paris) a été détruite en trois secondes par le volcan de la montagne Pelée en 1902. Voici les restes du théâtre. (18 février 2012)

The city of Saint-Pierre (or little Paris) was destroyed by the mont Pelée volcano in 3 minutes back in 1902. This is what is left of the theatre.  (18 février 2012)

C’est le Carnaval! Vous n’aurez pas un montage comme pour le Brésil... L’ambiance n’est pas aussi excitante. Nous avons quand même passé une belle soirée entourée de locaux habillés en femme à St-Pierre. (20 février 2012)

It’s the Carnival! You will not get a video montage like I did for Brazil however. The ambiance just isn’t as exciting. Still, we had a nice evening surrounded by locals dressed as women in St-Pierre.
