Land! Land!
That is what Gaston and I screamed out at the same time when we saw Flores and Corvo appear on the horizon. We arrived at Lajes the Flores July 27th at 20h local time (16h Mtl time) after 11 days out at sea. We consider all in all that we had a good crossing. No storm, nothing major broke, not body got hurt or sick. The wind that created the wave which shookus all the way, also aloud us to cross very quickly. We would of liked to have a bit more down time to enjoy dolphin watching, picture taking and fishing but we can’t ask too much for the North Atlantic. We are now sitting on a terrasse with view on the ocean and the boat. A friend Gaston made when crossing the first time, Cathy, has come to join us. We will stick around here for about 10 days. Daniel is still crossing and having some difficulties so we decided to stay until he gets here in case he needs help... or just to cheer him up. In the mean time, we will visit Flores and Corvo with Cathy as company.

Have fun on dry land. It looked as though there are some pretty big vulcano's there.
