Quatorzième jour de mer et toujours pas de symptômes de la Covid. Le vent est revenu ce matin plus fort que les 15 nœuds annoncés dans les fichiers météo. Le génois enroulé de moitié, la grande voile avec deux ris et la voile d'artimon affalée nous laisse deviner une vingtaine de nœuds. Malheureusement, nous l'avions directement sur le nez alors nous étions de nouveau au près. De plus, les bords n'étaient pas bons; soit nous allions vers la côte des US, soit nous allions vers l'Afrique. Pas moyen de faire du nord. Au courant de la journée, le vent c'est calmé au 15 nœuds annoncés et en même temps, a mieux adonné. Belle Ourse est toujours au près dans 1-2m de houle. Quand la cloche sonne toute seule, nous savons que nous tapons bien dans la vague. Nous aurions préférer faire du NE mais le bord n'adonne pas. En allant au NO, nous allons au moins un peu vers le nord. Les nuits commencent à être plus fraîches. En espérant que c'est fini avec la pétole car il nous reste encore 1240 mn à parcourir.

Fourteen days at sea and still no covid symptoms. The wind came back this morning stronger than the 15 knots predicted in the weather files. The half rolled up geneker, the two reefs in the main sail and the unraised misen sail tells us it is closer to 20 knots. Unfortunatly, we have it right on the nose so we are going upwind once again. The tacks were no good; we could either go towards the US coast or go towards Africa. Couldn't head North at all. As the day went by, the wind died down to the predicted 15 knots and, at the same time, it turned in our favor. Still going upwind in 1-2m of swell. When the bell rings on its own, we know that the boat in pouding in the waves pretty hard. We would prefer to be heading NE but the tack isn't good by going NO we are at least heading North. The nights are cooler. Hoping the wind will stick around because we still have 1240 nm to go.
