La houle nous a donne un peu de répit ce matin rendant nos déplacements sur le bateau plus faciles. En contemplation du bleu royal de la mer, du bleu pâle du ciel et des nuages blanc cotonneux, nous nous sommes exclamés en même temps: "C'est beau, han?" Un fou de bassan plongeait devant le bateau, s'installait à l'eau pour manger sa prise en nous regardant passer et une fois le tout avalé, reprenait son envol pour nous dépasser et recommencer le manège à nouveau. Nous avons profité de cette fin de journée plus calme pour prendre une douche d'eau salée. Il fait un peu chaud dans le bateau que nous devons fermer pour éviter qu'entre les embruns. Malgré les 15-20 noeuds de vent et un bon ajustement des voiles, le bateau n'avance qu'à 3,5 noeuds. Nous combattons donc un courant. Notre cap est légèrement plus vers l'est. Un cargo est venu nous narguer en passant tout près de nous avec une émission AIS qui disait que sa destination était Kingston en Jamaïque. Il faisait le bon cap, lui.

The sea was more quiet this morning giving us a bit of a break. Moving around on the boat was easier. While gazing in the deep royal blue of the sea, the pale blue of the sky and the fluffy white clouds, we both said at the same time: "Pretty, hein?" A gannet was diving in front of the boat, then it would eat it's prey in the water while looking at us pass by. Once finished, it would take flight again, to pass in front of us and start it all over again. At the end of the afternoon, we took advantage of the calm to shower with sea water. It is a bit hot in the boat since we have to close all the hatches to prevent the spray from coming in. Despite 15-20 knots of wind and the sails being well adjusted, we are only moving at 3,5 knots which would mean we are fitting some current. Out heading is slightly more east. A cargo ship came to tease us by passing close with an AIS emission that said his destination was Kingston, Jamaica. He had the right heading...
