Ca y est! Nous avons passé la pointe de Cuba au couché du soleil. C'est reparti à voile. Nous sommes maintenant au près bon plein (ça fait changement) la GV deux ris, le génois partiellement enroulé, l'artimon affalé. Le vent vient de l'ENE à 20-25 noeuds. Les vagues sont moins grosses qu'hier mais elle passe quand même par-desus le bateau par moment. Nous avons un cap de 48V. Belle Ourse longe une des îles des Bahamas à 5.5 noeuds. Il y a beaucoup de trafic de cargo. Nous avons demandé à un de se dérouter, étant incapable de le faire, et il a aimablement accepté. Pas de lune alors les nuits sont très noires.

It happened! We managed to get around Cuba just as the sun was setting. We are back to sailing. Going upwind (once again!) with 2 reefs in the main sheet, the geneker partially rolled up and the misen sail down. The wind is coming from ENE a 20-25 knots. The swell is calmer than yesterday but will still wash over the deck every once in a while. We are heading at 48T. Belle Ourse is sailing along the side of a Bahamian Island at 5.5 knots. Lots of cargo trafic. Not being able to change our course, we called one of them to request they changed theirs a few degrees to avoid collision which they nicely accepted. No more moon in the sky tonight. It's very dark.
