Plus en forme qu'hier malgré la houle qui ne nous a pas lâché. Gaston a commencé la journée la tête dans les toilettes. Pendant que nous avions le dos tourné, la soie dentaire à décidé d'aller se loger dans le macérateur.
Nous avons changé d'amure en matinée pour faire plus d'est. Toujours sur un vent du SO de 15-20 nds. Toujours au génois seulement pour la journée. Ajout de la voile d'artimon en fin de journée quand le vent a baissé à 11-13 noeuds. D'un seul coup, la houle confuse c'est calmée, la mer a remplacé sa robe bleu royale par une verte forêt et les températures de l'air et de l'eau ont baissé de beaucoup. Nous assumons que ceci indique notre sorti du Gulf Stream. Nous aurons évité le coup de vent sur la Nouvelle-Écosse. Le GPS de notre récepteur/émetteur AIS perds ses connexions satellite par moment nous forçant à utiliser un de nos GPS portatif. Ce matin, le vent tourne au SE. Il nous reste environ 275 mn à faire pour nous rendre au détroit de Canso et un autre 150 mn pour les Îles de la Madeleine. Un autre 4 jours...

In better shape than yesterday even if the sea didn't quiet down much. Gaston started the day with is head in the toilet. While we were not looking, the dental floss decided to go lodge itself down the macerator.
We changed tack in the morning to head more East. We still had a SW 15-20 kts wind. Only the geneker for most of the day and added the misen sail in the evening when the wind went down to 11-13 knots. All at the same time and quite drastically the confused sea calmed down, the color of the sea changed from deep blue to dark green and the air and water temperatures went down remarkably. We are guessing this means we are now out of the Gulf Stream. The strong winds along the coast of Nova Scotia where avoided. The GPS on our AIS receiver and transmitter kept on loosing it's satellite connexions for some reason forcing us to use one of our portable ones. This morning, the wind is turning toward the SE. We still have 275 nm to go for the Canso Straight and another 150 miles for Madeleine Islands. Another 4 days...
